CELEBRATION OF BILL’S LIFE:  A casual gathering of family and friends will be held from 2~6 p.m. on Saturday, April 11, 2015 at the New Journey Church of Christ, located behind Monical’s Pizza in Robinson, IL. with Pastor Dan Szombathy officiating.

IN LIEU OF FLOWERS, the family request an expression of sympathy may take the form of a contribution to New Journey Church, Robinson, IL.  Envelopes will be at the gathering or may be mailed to Pulliam Funeral Home, PO Box 121, Oblong, IL  62449.

Billie D. “Bill” Meese, 56, rural Oblong, Il passed away Tuesday, February 24, 2015 at Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana, IL, following a short battle with cancer.

Bill was born December 18, 1958 in Robinson, IL and was the son of Lavern Meese and Donna (Milam) Meese.  He married Bevela Jean Mashburn who preceded him in death on February 21, 2012.

Bill was a factory worker and a dedicated member of the New Journey Church of Christ of Robinson, IL, which was formerly the Robinson Wesleyan Church.  Bill liked to tinker with tractors, lawn mowers, radio and TV’s.  He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and mushroom hunting.

Bill is survived by a son Dustin Meese of Oblong, IL; a daughter Brandy Dunn of East St. Louis, IL; three granddaughters Taylor Howard Meese, Daylayna Meese and Aryanna Davis Meese; two sisters and brothers-in-law Pam and Jerry Meredith of Stoy, IL and Patty and Ed Higgins of Robinson, IL; nieces and nephews Dutchess and B. J. Lowe of Cloverdale, IN, Marty and Kylei Merideth of Stoy, IL, Rachel and Corey Inskeap and Cody Higgins of Robinson, IL; several great nieces and nephews and Norma Lee Bonneli Zook who took care of Bill for the last four weeks of his life.

It was Bill’s wish to be cremated and cremation rites have been accorded.
